Tiffany Chion co-founder of Yoga Universe
Tiffany Chion founded Sundari Yoga studio in Connecticut in 2004 and is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher. She has now created YogaUniverse in order to bring the joy of yoga to a global audience. As a yoga studio owner, she derived great joy from teaching yoga and was exhilarated by seeing people fall in love with their practice and with their bodies.
A former body-builder, Tiffany has had a long-standing interest in health and wellness and has completed master's level work in psychology. In yoga, she found the perfect avenue for helping people to heal and thrive.
She believes in the union of mind, body, and spirit through yoga, and uses energy movement through posture sequencing in her teaching. Energized and passionate, Tiffany encourages students to balance safety with self-challenge. She has taught yoga classes to groups as varied as GirlScouts, the University of Connecticut Huskies Rugby team, Tennis players and coaches, and folks recovering from hip replacement surgery. The youngest student she has taught was 6 years old, the oldest was 73.
Her goal is to create every class in a dynamic and holistic style---making each experience a fun and safe environment for her students to explore yoga. Tiffany has studied various forms of yoga and has been influenced by many teachers, including Anne Falkowski, Ana Forrest, Heather Tiddens, Yoganon Michel Carrol, Brian Kest, Rolf Gates, Eion Finn and Tom Gillette. She extends appreciation and admiration to each of them for the unique gifts that they have given.
