Anything can be yoga..........

Anything can be yoga………….

To the ancient yogis, the breathwork component of yoga Was yoga. To modern day folks like us it was perhaps introduced first and foremost as a physical, asana practice.  But anything can be yoga if you do it with intention!

…walking the long way to your car so you can see the birds you know are right over there…

…taking time to sit and have a cup of tea, closing your eyes and breathing long and rhythmic breaths for several minutes…even though there are things to be done and people asking for you.

….taking time to pet your cat or dog that is asking for love.  When you slow down and sink into the simplicity of just loving your pet, things in your mind clear and opportunities, a frame of mind, solutions, peace that you haven't been feeling will move into that quiet space and nourish you.  Time will slow--you will find a way to get it all done without rushing or being disconnected.

Yoga is taking the time to get connected to you first.  There is no "I just have to get this stuff done first and thennn I will connect with myself".

Connecting with yourself While you live your everyday life IS IT!  And at first it won't be easy, you will remind yourself a thousand times a day and catch yourself. But each time you do, and you connect inside with your breathing, you will feel the immediate benefit first and foremost and you will begin a new healthy habit that will serve you very well.  You will soothe yourself and become your own friend.  You will be more powerful, loving, simple and kind as a person.   People will feel loved in your presence because you are calm and full of love--for yourself and others!!

Yoga is treating yourself like gold so you feel so full that love overflows onto everyone you come in contact.  If you run yourself ragged on a string you certainly won't feel generous and giving so being selfish is the most Un-selfish action you can take! J

So yes, do your asana practice today and Also pause several times today while you are doing your daily tasks and listen to your breathing, notice your thoughts and if they are panicky or rushed, use your deepest breathing to soothe them.  Do something kind for yourself or someone else--maybe as easy as really listening inward or to another.  All of it is yoga!!!

You are beautiful!  Have an amazing day!

Warm regards--Tiffany
