"Yo-Putter": It's okay to mix "puttering" and yoga..really it is!

If you can't, won't, don't feel like getting onto your mat...if you
are stuck in a rut and don't even remember what it feels like to
have your yoga and exercise on a flowing schedule.....relax....it's
completely ok.

This happens to everyone.

Take it easy and make the transition back to your body fun instead
of a big deal.

Dance in your mirror!  Strecth luxuriously while taking out the
garbage.

Or try "yo-putter", which is a lovely bridge back to your yoga
practice.

Its easy--set out your mat, soften the lights and yoga a bit...
....to your heart's content and then if you
really need to straighten that pile of clothes on the chair near
your mat or dust that table off...go for it!

What?? Horror of horrors!  You ask, "But aren't I supposed to be
completely, solely, focused on my practice?"

Your yoga practice is for you.  Your focus is on making that
connection between your body and your spirit so that all of you
ends up smiling.

If you've felt overwhelmed, like you have no time
for yourself or to practice, then "  yo-putter" is a soft way to
get yourself onto your mat.  When your breath starts moving and
your body begins stretching your mind will naturally relax.  Then
it may just feel right to straighten up a bit in your bedroom or
your world.  Let it evolve. Play with your yoga postures,
stretching, moving, watching the shapes change and evolve in a mirror maybe.

Instead of your practice feeling like a chore, be flexible
with it! In all senses of the word :)

This doesn't mean that you are compromising your yoga practice or
that you won't have days when you practice with laser-like focus.
This just means that you are working with what you have and where
you are right now!  Good for you!

To help you expand your practice we've just uploaded a bunch of new
videos on YogaUniverse.  Enjoy!  We have also upgraded our video
player for better viewing for our members.  One change to note with
this new player is that the play button is now only on the control
bar at the bottom of each video.  You can no longer just click on
the screen to resume play so please note that. This player is worth
that small concession!

Enjoy and have a beautiful day!
